Our Education work introduces pupils and young people to Shakespeare, and often the results of those engagements surface many years later.

This is evident from a lovely email we received this week from Barbara at Crook Primary School, who had two great stories to tell. Thanks for sharing these with us, Barbara.

"I've just heard from a teacher at St Cuthbert's RC Primary, Crook. A parent came in to tell her about her son. He was involved in the LPN and performed in Stratford-upon-Avon in 2012.

He's leaving school this term and was asked by staff for his most memorable moment in the whole of his school career. He said - doing Shakespeare and performing in Stratford.

His mum burst into tears."

Another pupil that Barbara recalls being part of the same production in 2012 has recently left school now five years late to train as an actor, as a result of a passion grown from engaging with theatre and Shakespeare.

"We sometimes have to wait several years to see the outcomes of our work," reflects Barbara, "but stories like these make it all worthwhile."
