Mark Ravenhill's new translation of Brecht's play captured the excitement of scientific discovery, the contradictions in Galileo's character and the disillusionment of his followers when he recanted.
Directed by Roxana Silbert, A Life of Galileo featured Ian McDiarmid in the title role, described as 'electrifying' by the Independent.
A Life of Galileo played in the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon from 31 January to 30 March 2013.
