As You Like It follows the character of Rosaline as she escapes the confines of the court, with her friend Cecilia, and has to survive in the forest of Arden. To protect them both she takes on the guise of a young man.   

For young people of all ages, there is so much to discuss in this play about the journey each of the characters takes through the forest as well as lots of themes you can use as routes into the text including:

  • Identity
  • Love
  • Liberty and Freedom
