Dorcas "Before I knew acting as a career but now I’ve got to see all the other jobs around the arts in action because of the high standards that we do our shows to so it’s been really cool to see everyone’s different jobs who make the show happen." Halima "It’s been a way for me to build my confidence and get used to talking to more people because they give us loads and loads of support here, so it really means a lot. When I first came here I couldn’t speak to anyone I was sitting in the corner eating my food and now I can just invite myself into a conversation and I’m more active on stage. I’m planning on hopefully going into production something like screen writing at university." Liv "It has meant the absolute world to me. I’ve been with the RSC for seven years, I’ve grown up with it, it’s been part of my life since I can remember and I’ve learnt so much from here and all the people that I’ve met have been incredible. It has just been the most amazing experience that is really difficult to put into words.I always loved acting but this programme really enhanced that for me … it put me on the right track to doing something that I love." Holly "It’s quite emotional, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for a really long time. So much has happened it’s been very immense but it’s been really cool. I’m really sad to be leaving. I didn’t realise how close I would get with everyone." Harli "Honestly if I hadn’t come to the RSC I think at school I probably would have left drama but now the RSC makes me want to look into my future and maybe one day revisit drama and actually get into an actors life. It’s definitely achievable. I’d love one day to take part in something with the RSC again." Abdul "Our school was an Associate School and came to Stratford-upon-Avon to do Romeo and Juliet (Playmaking Festival) so from there the RSC came to our school and did an audition and two of us we’re chosen to be part of this company. In Hamlet I got to be Hamlet, there’s nothing better than that! It’s definitely helped me because I was stuck between going to law school or going to drama school and doing this has made me realise this is what I want to do for the rest of my life." Olly “Being here and working on the different projects has shown me a whole other side of theatre ... I really want to be making theatre in the future and making meaningful and relevant theatre for young people and contemporary audiences, and using all the things; the story telling and the creativity I’ve learnt and experiences I’ve had here and put that into my own work.Creativity and imagination has made me into the person that I think I am now and how I look at the world. I feel very lucky going into the theatre industry with a more open mind."
