18 - 25 Summer School

A week of industry insights, Shakespeare study and training in RSC rehearsal room approaches, designed for students and early-career theatre professionals. Working alongside a company of like-minded theatre-makers, learn about approaches to acting and staging Shakespeare, the theatre industry, careers, and the process of building professional productions. This course is best suited to students and early-career professionals with an interest in acting, but Directors, Academics and other creatives with an interest in Shakespeare will find plenty to learn and explore.

Our apprentices are equipped for future employment in the theatre industry by learning from experts and being supported by mentors and learning providers. Areas include operations, automation, learning, front of house, carpentry and scenic engineering.

Apprenticeships 

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) began in 2019 as a group of young people who were passionate about the arts, and who wanted to make young voices heard in support of the arts especially to promote the importance of the arts.
