The Holloway Garden Theatre is an open air theatre in the Swan Gardens, Stratford-upon-Avon. The audience seating and the stage are all uncovered.
Changes in the weather, the light and the atmosphere are all part of the experience of outdoor theatre, and we hope will only add to the experience for you. But we all know what British weather can be, so here’s what you need to know.
Be prepared
To make sure you enjoy your visit to the full, come prepared for a range of British weather. Matinee performances could get hot, so you might want to bring a sunhat, sunglasses and suncream.
If it looks like rain then you might want to bring a raincoat or rainhat. You won’t be able to use umbrellas in the auditorium, but we sell degradable ponchos.
Cancellations due to weather
We’re unlikely to cancel any performances before the advertised start time, because weather is changeable and can also be very localised. We don’t want to disappoint you, or our actors who want to put on a show for you, so if we can possibly go ahead, we always will.
There may be rare occasions when we find we have to stop the show. We don’t want to disappoint you, so we will do our very best to restart the performance.
Ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund or a free exchange for a future performance if we have to cancel the performance before the advertised start time or before the interval. If we have to cancel the performance after the interval, you will be offered a free exchange for another performance, but refunds won’t be available.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a show you’ve booked to see, or abandon a performance part-way through, we won’t be liable for additional travel or accommodation expenses.
