SYNOPSIS

Zaid returns home a washed-up actor with nothing to show for himself but a manuscript, Jihadi: The Musical, a powerful satire set to reimagined versions of Will Smith’s biggest hits, that no one wants any part of. He finds his best friend Abdul struggling to save their local mosque from collapse. Zaid, Abdul, and their friends risk it all to try and save the mosque, resurrect Zaid’s career, and challenge Islamophobia in their town.

Mark Ravenhill, playwright

"It's asking difficult questions but it's laugh out loud, it’s open hearted, there’s a lot of celebration, a lot of joy. I really wanted to be there with an audience."
