Made with rubbish and re-used materials, some sourced in Stratford-upon-Avon with the help of Rubbish Friends. Wrecked is co-created by artist Michelle Reader with local young people from Rubbish Friends, and Escape Arts Youth.

Michelle Reader is a Nottinghamshire-based artist. Her figurative sculptures are created with household waste and upcycled objects and materials. Michelle’s work is often inspired by nature and draws attention to issues such as littering and pollution.

Rubbish Friends is a local charity that organises litter picks around Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding areas for the benefit of people and wildlife. They have contributed to the collection of local litter, which has been used to create set and costumes for our production of The Tempest, with left over rubbish used to create Wrecked

Escape Arts is a local charity that brings people together through creativity & culture to support wellbeing and inspire strong, inclusive, and happy communities and run a programme of activity including their Stratford Youth Clubs.

Through our partnership with Rubbish Friends, we have also created a map of all the recycling points in Stratford-upon-Avon:
