Taking inspiration from The Merchant of Venice, this practical and fun workshop will introduce you to traditional techniques and materials as you make your own mask to take home. You'll also discover how to use your mask to express character and emotions. No previous experience of mask making or Shakespeare required.

Meet and take photos with Scena Kalejdoskop as they join us with three, larger than life figures, in spectacular costumes. These magical characters will introduce you to a fusion of folk motifs from across Poland through dance.
The event is part of the Shakespeare & Poland Festival 2024, from 22-23 June, in Stratford-upon-Avon, organised by the Polish Cultural Institute.
About the Company
Scena Kalejdoskop (Scene Kaleidoscope) was founded in 2004 in Kraków (Poland). The group creates street performances, parades, happenings, and workshops. Passion and involvement in creating each project has resulted in several theatre productions.
Made of Stone, can be seen at Stratford Playhouse on Saturday 22 June at 7pm. A magical journey into the heart of the Polish Highlands, featuring mesmerising puppetry, hand-painted masks, original music, and a cast of mystical characters, the show is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
