As part of the national effort to help curb the spread of coronavirus, space in our theatre on Southern Lane has been given over for community Covid testing.
Our theatre is being used as a venue for testing asymptomatic people for the illness, run by Warwickshire County Council in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care.
The facility opened on Monday 11 January and is being used for testing those who aren’t experiencing symptoms but need to know if they are infectious. It is expected to be operational at least until the end of March.
To get tested at the theatre you will need to register to book your test in advance. You will self-administer the test by swabbing inside your nose and at the back of your throat. Children can also use the service, but parents are required to conduct the test.
Please don't attend the test centre if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19. Anyone with symptoms - a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change to their sense of taste or smell – must self-isolate and book a test online or by calling 119.
If you aren't experiencing symptoms, but believe you could be infectious, you can book a test at The Other Place on Warwickshire County Council's website.
