Looking back through our history, we will reveal stories that some may have forgotten, such as how Edric Connor became the first black actor to perform for the company and why Ira Aldridge has a plaque in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

We will also hear from actors who have more recently performed here, such as Clarence Smith, Hugh Quarshie, Tanya Moodie and Ray Fearon, as they talk about their experiences of playing some of the most iconic roles in Shakespeare.
