Pupils from 11 Stratford-upon-Avon schools took to the Swan stage last week as part of our annual Playmaking Festival.

The young people aged 5-18 were lead and directed by two Shakespeare Ambassadors from Stratford College as they presented their own interpretations of Romeo and Juliet. Each group used an edited version of the script and worked with members of our creative and technical teams to prepare a performance of a particular scene. The groups then took to the stage alongside RSC actor Eloise Secker to show their scenes in order, creating a unique take on the play for their families and friends to enjoy.

In total, over 500 youngsters from across the country were involved in the Festival, which is part of our ongoing Associate Schools Programme.
