Any large bags and rucksacks will need to be left in the cloakroom, free of charge.

If you’re seeing a show in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, the Swan Theatre or The Other Place, then we will need to search all bags before you go into the auditorium, so please arrive in plenty of time. 

All bags will be subject to searches at the cloakroom, on entry to the auditorium and before embarking on a theatre tour.

At the Cambridge Theatre, full bag checks are carried out on everyone, regardless of size. If anyone leaves and re-enters the building, then their bags will be re-checked. During performance times when the box office and foyer are also open to the public (Wednesday and Saturday matinees), then bags are also checked.
