Highlights for later this year include a new adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Twelfth Night, and Robert Harris’ best-selling Cicero trilogy.
Today (Wednesday) we announced our season of new plays that will open from September 2017. Highlights include:
- Twelfth Night directed by Christopher Luscombe
- A Christmas Carol - world premiere of David Edgar’s new adaptation of Charles Dickens’s classic tale, directed by Rachel Kavanaugh
- Imperium: The Cicero Plays – world premiere of a new adaptation by Mike Poulton of Robert Harris’ best-selling Cicero trilogy, directed by Gregory Doran
- Coriolanus – Sope Dirisu takes the title role in the final part of our Rome season, directed by Angus Jackson
- Dido: Queen of Carthage – Kimberley Sykes directs Marlowe’s tale of sacrifice
The Mischief Festival
We also announced a double bill of two new plays which will be part of our Mischief Festival at The Other Place. The Earthworks, by Tom Morton-Smith and Myth co-written by Matt Hartley and Kirsty Housley, directed by Kirsty Housley, will play alongside a series of talks, events and debates, from 24 May until 17 June.
