Designer Simon Higlett has given us a glimpse behind the scenes of Twelfth Night with these sketches of costume designs for the comedy currently playing at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre with Adrian Edmondson and Kara Tointon.

Simon has worked with us on previous productions, including Thomas More, A Russian in the Woods, Love's Labour's Lost and Love's Labour's Won (A Midsummer Night's Dream). These drawings show his ideas for the characters' costumes, which are then brought to life by the craftspeople in our costume workshop.

We recently launched our Stitch In Time campaign to raise money for the redevelopment of this workshop, so we can keep creating amazing clothes, armour, jewellery and much more. To see how our costumes start life, take a look through our gallery of Simon's designs below:
