We look back at the past 12 months and share some of our amazing moments onstage in Stratford, London and on tour.
It's been a busy year at the RSC. When 2018 started out we had Twelfth Night and A Christmas Carol in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Meanwhile the thrilling world of power politics in Ancient Rome was taking over the Swan Theatre with Imperium I and II.
During 2018 we brought five more Shakespeare plays brought to life in Stratford-upon-Avon - part of our journey through the First Folio. Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and The Merry Wives of Windsor all played in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre before transferring to the Barbican in London, while Troilus and Cressida and Timon of Athens featured as part of our winter season.
We also had revivals of previous hit shows, including King Lear and Hamlet, as well as some brand new plays covering everything from the life of legendary theatre director Joan Littlewood (Miss Littlewood) to the disappearance of 43 Mexican students in 2014 (Day of the Living).
