Our Mischief Festival opens on Wednesday, with a double bill of new plays and a series of events and works-in-progress.

We’ve released rehearsal photos for The Earthworks and rehearsal photos from Myth, and there are also 10 tickets available for every performance during the Festival for 70p each - the price of tickets when the original The Other Place opened in 1974. Our 70p tickets are available on the day only at 10am from the Box Office at The Other Place.

There's a chance to see two works in progress, from the creative engine room of The Other Place where we explore new ideas and exciting theatrical opportunities.

Busking It shares a busker's experiences from nearly 10 years singing on the London tube. This one-woman show, written and performed by Danusia Samal, features original live music, poetry, spoken word, and an eclectic mix of the people you meet on the London Underground. #WeAreArrested is written by journalist Can Dündar and is his enthralling account of his arrest and subsequent exile from Turkey following his newspaper’s decision to publish photographic evidence of covert arms dealing to Islamic fundamentalists in Syria. 

September Mischief Festival

And following our spring festival, we have more mischief in store. From today (Monday) you can also buy tickets for our September Mischief Festival.

This will feature a new play Kingdom Come: I thought to have been silent. But this is a time of war. Set in 1640, the play shows the bitter end of one political order and the struggle towards something new.
